My fifth trip to Cambodia was very exciting!

Cambodia Mission Report

This was my fifth trip, but the first in four years. God did wonderful and amazing things while we were there. I was joined by gospel music artists, Blaine & Boyd Cornwel; we had ministry opportunities in several categories: Children’s ministry/orphans; evangelism/baptisms; and two-day Leadership training seminars in two different cities, Phnom Penh & Battambang.

We arrived on Saturday, October 5, and began at the home of brother pastor Sokha Sath, where he and his family have established JESUS CLUB, a ministry to hundreds of neighborhood children who come to their home for Christian music & worship, Bible lessons, and something to eat, sometimes just a slice of bread!

On Sunday morning we traveled with them to the south of Phnom Penh, to Women’s Island (where communist dictator, Pol Pot, murdered thousands of women and children), to the Memorial Christian Church. This church not only provides for their spiritual needs, but also helps local residents with food, medicine, and clothing. Baptismal services are also planned.

On Monday and Tuesday we conducted all day Leadership Training for area and regional pastors and church leaders.

On Wednesday we traveled for four hours north to the city of Battambang, home of the ARM sponsored Rapha House, (Stephanie Garman Freed, USA Director, Joplin, MO). We shared for three nights with about 75 girls at Rapha who have been rescued from “Human Trafficking”, the lucrative sex trade of young girls.

During the day on Thursday and Friday we conducted all-day Leadership Training for area & regional church leaders and pastors. Saturday will include a field trip to village churches, baptisms, and a party for everyone at Rapha House. We shared in the Battambang Christian Church on Sunday morning, before returning to Phnom Penh for our flight home.
